Re: tig wheel guide

it help when you make 50 or 100 tack at day on very thin metal were the distance between the electrode and the metal are very important for make the tack and not burn the two pieces, with this you make the same tack every time like the first

tig wheel guide

hi guys, i make this simple wheel guide looked on the torch cup for make easy and precise tack and welding on thin pipe, work very good on welding without filler rood such as 0,8mm steel (in picture) with 0,4mm gap between electrode and piece https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170711/12607ae1004274b...

Re: what new liquid cooled torch buy?

i weld just simple aluminum stuff from 2-3 mm thickness, and some repair like broken radiator or motorcycle crankchase but the amperage are near 200amp, i think this isn't a problem because i don't weld aluminum for hours... i was looking some torches on ebay , what's the differences between this tw...

Re: what new liquid cooled torch buy?

thanks for answer my post, i was oriented to buy CK torch but im not sure what style is the most appropriate, i weld a lot of sheet steel but also happens me to weld some aluminum (wp9 style can do this job al 200amp?) and i have a lot of cups for my wp26 torch ( is it compatibles or i have to buy c...

Re: where is the penetration?

trying with standard n°7 cup instead of gas lens, 30% balance ( the lower i can setting) more focused arch lenghts slow my traveling speed and wait for great melting before fill the rod, it seems im going to the right direction, more penetration, i tryed different filling rod; in the photo i used 40...

Re: where is the penetration?

What machine do you have that has that many wave forms but only 100Hz for frequency options? i think is made is the same place where everlast is made because its very similar, have the same interface, function, maybe have limited frequency because is cheaper hahaha https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2...

Re: where is the penetration?

Which side of the T did you weld first? Smart money says the right (in the sectioned photo) where you base metal was not hot enough. By the time you weld one side, the base is now very hot, and the penetration much greater for the other side. Having sufficient heat to melt the filler is not enough ...

Re: homemade rotary welding spindle

Looks pretty darn nice. Only one question- is it your laser cutter or someone else's? I want to get one someday if I have the money just to say I have one. That seems like it would be fun. Unfortunatly these machines are very expensive, the one who did this job is a professional laser cutter of a f...

this is the second i made, very super low cost spindle made from laser cut steel tig welded, three indipendent jaw for welding light things. The gear reducer is take from an old 12v door opener, very low speed :P https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170618/f3d989627f8f83733e870b022e606793.jpg https://...

trying with alluminum bar inside the piece but tack penetrete to much, no porosity but very close to have it, so i change my setting to a 33pps, welding current to 70 amp (lower) base current 33% and put a tack, last photo welded with the same settings and without alluminum bar inside. In the first ...
