thanks for the tips that what i was looking for i guess i am ready to try tig welding and dip my tungesten a bunch of times lol :lol:

newbie to welding i have a sign shop, vinyl graphics, printing just getting int the metal fab side of it making sign cabinets etc... i do lot automotive work too and have race car too. i can mig ok i just bought all my tig stuff have not fired it up yet linclon pro 135 mig eastwood 250 mig with spoo...

newbie tungsten cutting or snaping?

ok what is best way to shorten tungstens for mid or short back caps

1.cutting seems right to me but what to use?

2. snaping seems wrong as not to fracture it.

3.tungsten grinder right but rather not spend 300- up for tool

just starting out want to get good habits not dumb ones. lol
