Re: How much of a problem will this be? Fuel tank

Personally, I am more of a hobby welder, but not bad quality...However, I have been in oil & gas refining most of my life. Your problem is not so big. If the diesel is gone..no liquid? Your concern is not flashing. Diesel in America can be full of goofiness, flash being 125F. to around 200F, but...

Re: Alternative Amp Controls

Thanks MarkL, nice looking touch control, but still on the torch hand. That won't work for me as well. I am looking toward torch in left, amp control in right...possibly with a wire "guide" hole. I am leaning on making a middle finger pull trigger. My machine has min and max settings alrea...

Alternative Amp Controls

Hi all, Maybe this has been covered prior, but could not find answers. I have been using foot controls like most people for maintaining a good arc. No real issues, except that I am a stroke patient...have some occasional "he-be-jee-bees" that come from nowhere. Hehe...at least I have an ex...

Re: Line Power

Is the only answer to simply stop welding? Your problems might be twofold. Thank to all for your feedback! Arno, you hit it for me. I actually went and did a physical line check. Our property has "temporary power" according to the Provincial Electrical Authority. Since we do not have a re...

Re: Sort-of Rookie welder in Thailand

Thanks for the welcome!
We split time between locations...Rangsit, Pathhum Thani is my wife's home for many years and the center of our business fun. We are developing a tiny orchard in Chanthaburi and building a new home there.

Line Power

Hi all, new to the forum...a rookie TIG welder just buying my first machine. A programmable light duty Welpro TIG200P. German spec, Taiwan built. Tests worked well on carbon and aluminum...knobs are goofy, but weld quality nice! My issue is something I have never experienced before. We are in Thaila...

Sort-of Rookie welder in Thailand

Greetings! My subject line explanation: I am not new to welding really. I have a similar background to Jody's, but in the Oil & Gas industry...except as a plant Operator/Head Operator/Supervisor/Project Engineer/whatever comes along, kind of guy. I began welding for fun many years ago with gas a...
