Re: Primeweld TIG 225x Review/Discussion

The primeweld Tig 225ACDCP is a good welder for the price. I like it over my HTP 221 because I can see at a glance were my settings are. I like my 221 for the low amp capabilities and some of the other settings, but you have to go through the hole menu to set everything. The 225 will weld 6010 and 7...

Re: Not getting weekly video's

Well, I didn't get the video again this week. I guess if you don't buy stuff from the store you stop getting video's. Guess I will be missing out on them, too bad.

Never had a dirt bike. Did a lot of welding on them though. Street bikes and drag bikes for me, but have sold them all, doctors orders.

Re: Tungsten problems

From what I see it could be you need more gas flow say 15cfh/7lpm or you need to clean the metal better. By what I mean by cleaning the metal, I can see you ground off most of the rust on top but you are welding close to the edge were it was not cleaned. Tig needs very clean metal for good clean wel...

Re: Cordless grinder

I have all Dewalt 18 volt cordless tool. The 4 1/2" grinder works OK but like said its hard on battery's if you really bare down on it. Now flap disc's and cut off wheels seem to do a lot better. I keep 4 battery's charged all the time.

Re: Is a 3/32 Electrode the Holy Grail?

I use 3/32" most of the time as I am welding from 80 to 150 amps. I use red, blue and purple as I have found they all weld steel and aluminum about the same. I sharpen my 3/32 and 1/8 to what ever looks good. I do not sharpen my .020, .040 or 1/16 most of the time, depending on what I am welding.

Re: New Vise Grips (thumbs down)

I have all kinds of vice grips. The originals I try and keep clean and away from were I am welding. Irwin bought out Vice-Grip and they are not as good but work OK. I have found almost all the cheaper vice grips/clamping pliers the upper jaw is only pined/riveted and will move when you put pressure ...

Re: Squarewave 200 PROBLEMS!??

I read this thread 3 time till it hit me. You bought a Lincoln Squarewave 200 tig welder and after a few days of use it goes bad, ok it happens. You take it back and they sell you their demo unit and you take it back to the shop and hook it up to the same plug and blow it up. That tells me you have ...

I have been getting the weekly video's from January 2012 every week. :D

But they were hit and miss for the last few months and I haven't gotten them in the last month.

Whats up :?: :?: :?:
