Best flooring option for a welding/fabrication shop?

Epoxy flooring will be damaged by weld spatter or anything hot that will touch it. I have epoxy in my shop, but it is more of a machining shop.

If you want something fancy why not go with granite tiles? Or klinker?

Re: Low amp flash

The dig infinity does not have rechargeable batteries. The lithium coin cells power the hood and during welding the solar cells power the hood so the battery life is extended.

But getting flashed at 50 amps does not seem right.

Re: Low amp flash

Have you tried the X-Mode? That’s supposed to detect the rf signal from the arc, additional to the arc sensors.

I also have the dig infinity and works ok

Re: Help with helmets plz

I also have the Miller Dig Infinity. Lovely piece of kit for bench work but it is a bit on the heavy side (big LCD) so out of position work tends to pull the hood sideways. One must tighten the tension screws for it to stay up, but the headgear is a little flimsy for my taste. The top head support b...

Re: Help with helmets plz

I have the Infinity, and for bench welding, it’s great. For out of position, not so much. There seems to be a common complaint from many who use it that the headgear struggles to stay put, visor drops too easily, and generally is hard to adjust to get “right”. Pluses: lightweight, huge viewing area...

Re: TIG torch water chiller

Nope, don’t really plan building my own. Too much work to make it good and pretty. But from china one can but tig cooler (fan only) or laser tube chiller (refrigerant heat pump, temp controller included) for roughly the same price. So, IF the laser tube chiller has enough pump pressure for a tig tor...

Re: TIG torch water chiller

Alright, back to the coolers. Indeed, I have a couple Qs. What I noticed was the tig torch water coolers tend to use a radiator/fan to cool the water while the laser tube chiller uses refrigerant to cool the water. What I'm curious about here Andrei is, does this make these coolers more dangerous, ...

Re: TIG torch water chiller

When in operation, when the torch and water have already warmed up, what is the water temp at the chiller input and output nozzles?

Re: TIG torch water chiller

But would it work? What about water pressure? Are the 2 types of units comparable regarding water pressure and flow? My idea is in the future to also fiddle with a CO2 laser and since I will not be doing that much welding perhaps I could have just the laser water chiller and share that with the weld...

TIG torch water chiller

Hello, While browsing the net for tig coolers I stumbled upon CO2 laser tube chiller units. What I noticed was the tig torch water coolers tend to use a radiator/fan to cool the water while the laser tube chiller uses refrigerant to cool the water. Would such unit work for tig torch cooling? I mean ...

Re: Hello. Just about to start welding

Nice looking machine. I'm not familiar with the brand but it appears to have plenty of waveform control. Are you getting argon soon? Stick and Tig are both a load of fun. My favorite is whichever I'm currently using. Don't let these guys turn you off from forum. They are generally helpful and knowl...

Guys, wtf! Go somewhere else and fight or whatever.

It can be that I don’t get welder’s humor, but this is my intro thread and you totally f$&*^d it up.

Thank you?

Re: Hello. Just about to start welding

nice welder. however need to go get a stinger to fit it and some stick electrodes. start by learning to stick weld (MMA mode). it easier than starting on tig and stick will teach you some important lessons. Hi tweake, I already got the stinger, a pack of electrodes and know a guy who is willing to ...

Hello. Just about to start welding

Hello. My name is Andrei and I want to learn how to weld. Just purchased my first welder, a Jasic 200A AC/DC tig welder and a Miller digital infinity welding hood. I have never tried welding but I am a quick learner (hopefully [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200615...
