Most of the time when I start a new tank I have to adjust the pressure so check it before you weld again

Making a point on round bar

I'm working on fabricating a tree stand and the type I like has a rod with a fine point to dig into the tree. I have a torch and bench grinder but grinding takes longer than I like. Is there a way to make the point without a lathe?

Tig welding aluminum round bar

I'm trying to make fishing rod holders and I've MIG and TIG welded some out of stainless steel. I'd like to make one out of aluminum. However I'm still fairly new to TIG and some aluminum gives me fits! My issue is butt welding the round bar. What would you guys recommend for settings? I have a Linc...
