Those beads look pretty good! It's tough to eliminate all the oxides ... But if you're cleaning everything with stainless-like care, look at your filler metal. You could be introducing oxides that are on the filler. From there, check all gas connections & make sure there's no moisture anywhere ....

@countryboy ... I welded with an Everlast a few weeks ago & the balance was opposite of a Miller or Lincoln. I would turn the balance down - which will give you LESS cleaning/balling/electrode positive. In this case, it's more of a cleaning knob than a balance knob ... Think of it as less cleani...

The Eastwood line is decent. I've welded with the 200A Tig unit and it's not bad. I don't know how durable they are or what service is like - but the arc was very usable and the price is affordable. Depending what I'm doing I usually run between 18 and 25. I of course have to buy my own gas so I save all I can.
