Re: Lincoln SW 200 Purchase Questions
Gas is a consumable ,just as gloves, tungsten. etc. A good weld will include an adequate Pre and Post Flow.(when in doubt, add more pre/post) Clean(new) gloves ,clean filler rod. The list goes on and on for the NOOb. Then there are those that weld with a candle and coat hanger. "Opinions are ever...

If there is an aluminium Boat Propeller repair shop in your area, check with them,as they usually use 4047&4943 to build up dirty, corroded damaged props.
10# mins is a lot for a small shop.

Re: ?welding an obsolescent spring steel part?
piano wire(hobby shop) or (piano tuner)
make a jig(copy old spring to fit)
Bend up new one.
OR
find an elderly gunsmith, he has probably done this before. Guns are worth saving/fixing.
Spring will just bend where welded without proper filler/heat treat.

Yes on cooler for a small torch with large amp capabilities.
Be aware that most coolers add to noise level in shop.
ask Oscar,HTP experienced.
