I've filled tubes with sand and bent them with an oxy/acetylene torch over a wooden buck before. Not pretty or elegant.

I love the fact that you show your perfect welds and your not so perfect welds. (Although those look pretty ok, too) The perfectly stack dimes you see on weldporn and the like are pretty to look at and aspire to, but I learn so much more watching what works and more importantly what doesn't and why....

I have one. It's nice having it by the bench where I can lean over and grab it and freshen up the tungsten if I wanted and be back to welding in less than 30 seconds. Maybe not $300 worth. $235 at htp, maybe?
