Re: Sunscreen

There is no such thing as too much information. I use SPF 100 normally and I don't get any burn at all. Maybe a little tan but even then that hardly ever happens. I put it on once in the morning and I'm good all day. I know I'm supposed to reapply every few hours but since I get really dirty all day...

Re: Cell phone policy at work

I feel like if you are a professional, you don't have your cell phone on you during work. Period. The exception would be that there is some real family crisis, in which case you inform the boss at the start of the shift that you might be getting a call, which will be important and which you must ta...

Re: Sunscreen

Okay so then I'm in the clear. Its been 100+ lately and I got SPF 75-100 and I haven't burnt at all. I just wanted to know the minimum I could get.

Thanks, Austin.

Sunscreen

Do any of you guys use sun screen to protect your skin from the UV rays? If so, what is the lowest SPF that is still effective?

Thanks, Austin.

Re: Cell phone policy at work

Where I work they don't allow them in the shop but everyone still brings them in. But if the owner catches you on it he'll fire you on the spot, no questions asked.

Good or Bad

So I'm a little tight on cash and I really want to buy a TIG/Stick welder. So I've been looking around and I just don't have $2,000 to spend on a welder right now.. So I'm thinking about taking the cheaper route and buying one from Harbor Freight. I know, I know, you get what you pay for. But the re...

Re: Pipeline Welding Discussion

I am going back to school for my pipe welding certificate and graduated last December with my structural welding certificate from STC in Linn, MO. I thought the school did a really good job at teaching me everything and they actually go in depth into a lot of what they teach. I know this next semest...

A question.

Hello, So I have the Lincoln 3350 welding hood and last week the shutter started to basically static between dark and not dark and then just stopped working. I am having it sent in to Lincoln because it is still under warranty, but my question is, why would it just start acting up out of no where an...

Hello.

Hello, My name is Austin. I am certified in structural welding and am going back to school this year to get my pipe welding certification. I currently do a lot of MIG welding seeing as I work at Doolittle Trailer MFG in Holts Summit, MO. So I build trailer frames for a living for right now. Doesn't ...

Mig Like Tig

Hello,

I recently saw the video of "Mig like Tig" and was wondering if this is something you were trying to achieve? Or am I even close myself? Thanks for the feedback.

God bless, Austin. :)
