Re: co2 gas

Thanks for the reply Oscar, I only really have experience with FCAW welding and I'm strictly self taught, plus I haven't really taught my self very well so I will be asking plenty of dumb questions. I'm not sure what you said but so be it. I have a new Hobart 210 MVP and after it warms up a bit here...

co2 gas

As a general rule how much welding time would I expect from a 80 cubic foot tank of pure co2? Would it last longer than a 10lb wheel of .035 wire?

good deal

Anybody interested in a Hobart 210 MVP welder should look up Mills Fleet Farm. They have them on sale for 749 bucks right now and if you have a store close by you can sign up for one of their credit cards and get another 10% off. Thats what I did a week ago and was able to buy one for 675 bucks. Tha...

Re: gas choice
probaly the best gas and what will be on the chart will be C25
There seems to be plenty on the chart that comes with my welder on use of co2 in the metal thickness I'm interested in. I'm not worried about spatter and am most interested in penetration and something cheaper than buying f...

gas choice

I decided to update my welding this fall, after welding on a 100 amp Lincoln since 98 with flux core mostly I pulled the trigger on a Hobart 210. I need to put a 220 50amp service in my garage but in the mean time I have about 10lbs of .035 flux core that I will use on 110. I'm curious about what I ...

New from frozen Minnesota

Hi, I'm glad to be here.

I've been welding intermittently since 98. I have used a Lincoln 100amp wire feed almost exclusively with flux core and have

just picked up a new Hobart 210 MVP that I have yet to use. I will try not to ask too many stupid questions.
