Re: home made RC monster truck
Yah no doubt, looks like yours is pretty robust with some of those landings you were doing with it. I have since switched over to 1/4 scale wheels and tires, kept blowing the 1/5th scale tires off the rims. the rear control arms are made from 1/2" thick aluminum. This car would be destroyed if ...

The last truck I did was a 5th scale Losi5ive, didn't do any welding on it but had a custom chassis made to set the motor back a couple ...

Re: Welding 1/2 Plate
When I made my table I welded the frame and had planned on welding the 1/2" top to it, When I went to my local metal supply and they loaded it with a fork truck I thought maybe I don't need to weld it. lol So I didn't and for 15 years or so it hasn't moved unless I want it moved..

Re: Looking for mig welder soon
Not sure if you purchased yet, but you might want to check out Esab's Rebel, I've heard some good things on those also. My garage is filled with mostly blue boxes but I do have one of ESAB's first gen inverters that I bought back in the early 90's SVI300I and a MIG 4HD and It does have a very sweet ...

Re: Extension Support for Horizontal Band Saw
I just replaced my 4 x 6 with a Ellis 1600 and it is taller than the old saw. When I had bought the 4 x6 years ago I made a rolling stand out of 1" angle and welded 4 locking swivel castors to it, never measured but I'm sure it raised it at least 3"

Re: A/C BALANCE
On my Miller the AC balance set the EN, I usually run around 70- 75 EN, I'm pretty sure a quick look in your manual verify whether your changing EN or EP, if my memory serves Everlast machines set by EP so you might want to try setting of 25 or 30. You'll know real quick if this is not the case. :) ...

I've always used Tillmans for Tig welding, but the last time I bought a pair of gloves I tried Millers and I will have to say they are quite comfortable.
