Hi!

I am no welder so I come here to seek some help so that I can better understand what can be done to this problem. I have a cast iron small engine that has cracks around one of the bolt holes. After reading around the web I realized that brazing was a popular way of fixing cast iron. Since I am no welder I am asking you guys: can this be fixed by warming up the area and applying bronze over the top of the crack?

The white stuff is some fluid weld I applied at some point.
