How about an "non welding releated" subforum?

I am possibly relocating to Georgia as my wife is likely to be transferred there. She'll be working in Norcross. We're looking at homes near Winder for bigger lot sizes and room to build me a decent shop. I'll semi-retire and tinker. Would like to hear from anyone in that area.

I think it's not done to avoid problems
Welding Web had one and it regularly creates $hitstorms. Brings out the worst in people. Esp with religion and politics...
You have almost the entire Internet that is off topic (non-welding) right at your fingertips...

...and general B.S. is common in the "shop talk" section. It's usually welding related, but side topics are fine, as long as they don't become pissing matches.
