This is some stuff I've been using. I've used it on brass, bronze, copper, and steel. I've used it with oxy / acetylene, and with the tig rig. No flux, wets in nice, and handles brazing over impurities.
General welding questions that dont fit in TIG, MIG, Stick, or Certification etc.

If you have a choice of silver solders and fluxes, go for the ones that contains cadmium. That is, if they haven't been banned by the 'elf an safety nazis............
They seem to be far less critical to high temperatures and the flux forming a black scale on the parts, plus they flow better.

This Pomgolian site mentions that the EU-SSR has banned it but it's still available.

Evidently the cad reduces the working temperature required.
Here's an outfit that still make them.

OK. Went to site, as usual the story changes when you get there. First repair not done by a fridgy but a shift fitter who used some kind of coated nickel rod.
The bronze shaft is attached to the plate with a dowel and two grub screws. The larger hole holds a steel ball which locates a spring. For penance I got the fitter to turn off all nickel filler from the shaft on the lathe while I cleaned and prepped the brass plate. The only pic I got was preping the brass plate. Degreased with shellite, sanded to shiny flat parent with flapper disc, did same to inside with a tootsie roll on a dremel. Shellite again, scrubbed with scotchbrite and shellite again.
Fluxed it up and silver soldered with 15%. Used a number 20 tip and fully filled the complete capillary step joint. Let it solidify and then gave a bit more on the inside to build up a fillet as well to appease the fitter who seems to think the fillet is stronger than the capillary joint.
Cooled and cleaned up with flapper disc and soft wire wheel. As soon as I finished cleaning they whipped it out of my hands and back into production machine. No time for pic, sorry.
Back in production and holding well so far.

Flat out like a lizard drinkin'
Not often. In this case there was plenty of crap on the pieces and I only had one shot at it with people watching over my shoulder. Just covering all bases
