3 oclock welders

Has anyone ever heard what a 3 oclock welding machine is????I saw a job post that said welder must be able to SMAW FCAW and 3 oclock welding machine experiece. Never heard of it myself.

3 O’Clock Welders are also known as tank welders or girth welders. They can hang on the upper outside edge of a tank in order for horizontal welding.
