Welding Tips and Tricks

The mustache is natural (I carved the center out of my goatee to get that 70's "porn star" look). Our makeup artist emphasizes it a bit for me, as I'm rather grey in that area.

Opening night was a full house.

I'm really quite envious of this whole adventure. I'm very closed off and find public speaking terribly difficult, so to me, seeing someone bust out of their comfort zone and do something like this is pretty amazing.

Typically I suck at public speaking like speeches but on the stage I have no problem you might be surprised.

I understand. My wife has the voice of an angel, yet no one will hear it, for presenting herself in front of people terrifies her.
I reached a point (My 30th birthday in the hospital) where I quit being afraid of anything.

Might as well order the flowers. When my wife sees this...

Beats a bunch of hairy stinky fab guys hands down.

You would be surprised. I'm sure these ladies are alright but some of them who do these productions leave something to be desired. And I'd rather talk with a bunch of hairy fab guys than them.

That play closed Sunday.

I'm really going to miss that. I've made friends with everyone and we can keep up.

Tonight I start rehearsal for Steve Martin's adaptation of "The Underpants", which is funny as hell. I get to kiss a pretty girl in it, too.

I'm sure my wife will be okay with it. The young lady's married, too.

We (she and I) still have to work out how to handle the kiss, as the director's not pressuring. We can chose to be blatant and obvious, a real kiss (which will fit the bawdy theme of the play better), or we can cup hands over our faces and fake it. We'll discuss that later, since this week we're just working on blocking (Who's where, when, and where we're moving to), and will get into character development next week.

Now you got me thinking, my possible last theatrical performance will be in November and stuff should start in a little over a month and now I remember all the "fun" some stuff can be like blocking. Last year was easy. I played an iron worker and a mason by myself onstage. That was easy. Memorize the lines, go out and be yourself.

I have to interact with others (generally two at a time), and generally be slightly slap-stick. This thing is full of sexual references and double entendre's, and to keep the action moving I will be acting with my face and body a lot. I might even have to get contact lenses, so my eyes are not covered.
