Cast Iron Repair Project

I'm looking for advice on how to tackle this repair.

I have an Enco corner notcher. (1989 vintage made in Taiwan)
The top of the cutter has two ears with a 19 mm hole bored thru.
One of the ears has broken off completely.
It broke on the diameter of the hole and right through the set screw tapped hole. Imagine that!
Part is clearly cast iron, the voids in the back of the part are one clue.
Someone attempted a repair using a brass brazing rod of some type. Did not get much wicking of the braze into the joint and it broke again.

I have a Lincoln Squarewave 200 Tig welder and an oxy acetylene setup.

So what process should I try and how should I prep the joint?

If it helps, here's one I did with TIG aluminum bronze based on Jod's video on the subject.

Full v grind and multiple passes, blended smooth.
Only one I've ever done and the Al.bronze filler was easy to work with.
