Welding arc viewed at 10,000 frames/sec

I don't know if this has been posted here before, but I found it pretty interesting to watch. MIG welding recorded with a high speed camera at 10,000 frames/sec. There are a few of stick welding in there as well if you look around the playlist.

that is amazing that the arc itself is as erased on some videos , so we mostly see the way the metal drip to the puddle.

I find it pretty interesting how in the second link above, you can see the flux on the rod slowly being consumed while the balls of molten metal shoot out from inside it to join the puddle. Amazing how they manage to filter out the light of the arc to get these shots.

Some other interesting videos in the list there, exploding firecrackers, attacking owls, and such.
