if you go to his profile you'll see the last time he was on, I think lately he just logs on to make sure the place isn't burning to the ground

I suppose he's got to keep up with new members and let them on. He's prolly working on some big production somewhere.

I think he may have lost a family member and has been at his parents house the last few days at least that's what I got out of it on Facebook.

Quite right on all counts. We lost one of my brothers late on Thursday the 14 shortly after discovering multiple inoperable cancers. I had performed one show that night, with three to go, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There was nothing I could do, so "the show must go on" was my therapy. Over Christmas week, I visited my mother. I was barely home when I fell ill with something flu-like (I had my flu shot this year, but that's no guarantee). I've been checking in to screen new members and read the posts (to make sure the place isn't burning...) but not much else.

I want to get back to being more active here, but I've also had some personal health issues over the last several months that remain undiagnosed and leave me in a state of constant fatigue. Some days it's a battle to go to work in the morning, which is unlike me. I've made no secret of how much I enjoy my job. The next specialist on my list is a neurologist. I've already been poked, prodded, scoped, and tested for nearly anything that could be wrong from my jewels to my throat, and come up clean.

I've auditioned for one play for the first quarter of the new year, and don't yet know if I have a role. I'm torn between wanted to do the play and wanting a break from the schedule. It's "All the King's Men," the thinly veiled story of Huey Long's rise to the Governorship of Louisiana.

I'm touched by everyone's concern. Happy New Year!

Deeply sorry to hear of your brother's passing. And concerned for your health too. Welding may be "life" to many here, but family and health are EVERYTHING. Do take good care of yourself. The world has a chronic shortage of good people these days, and I shudder to think how profound your absence from our sphere would be.

May 2018 bring you much deserved happiness and renewed good health!
