I have 16 students in my class at various stages. But I have a question. The curriculum that is designated for this class is base around pipe welding, is this the norm throughout the country? I have tweaked it a little because as we all know not everyone is a pipe welder. But I was just wonder if all the other schools were like that.

My students are great I wanted to honor them with a video.

My school doesn't do much pipe but will be a part of the associates degree next year. I mean if your in Texas and 95% of graduates are gonna weld pipe, you teach pipe. I'd still do the basics like t-joints because it is a neccsesarry skill. In my area there isn't a ton of pipe and a lot of fabrication so there is a lot of plate work being done.
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.
