Just trying to get a general idea of the math skills needed in the boilermaker trade.

Well, math that boilermakers use isnt quite the kind you find in a whole lot of textbooks....but a general knowledge of metric and standered wrench sizes, geometry, tape measure math, a good knowledge of fractions(mostkly things like 2/16 is 1/8, 2/8 is 1/4, 16/32 is 1/2 ect).

Maybe one of those pipefitter measurement books might put you ahead of the game too.

Well,thats to easy.Kinda sounds like framing carpenter math to me,minus the geometry.I've heard of the pipe fitters book you're talkin about.I'll try to find one.Thanks

Other than pipefitter measurement books there is nothing in textbooks relevant to the boilermaker.
