Hello there! I'm currently in the process of building myself a shop (30x40x14), and I'm using 11 gauge 4x4 square tubing, 14 gauge purlins, and pre manufactured trusses. In the past I've used 6010 and 7018 to weld up my previous buildings,. But I've recently purchased a suitcase welder and was flirting with the idea of maybe using flux core to weld up my shop. However, since I'm still relatively new to the flux core/short circuit game, I'm not too sure with which wire I could/should be using! And so I was wondering if anybody could possibly offer me some insights/suggestion with what wire would be proper for my application? Thanks in advance!

I’ve used Crown 71T plenty for small fab jobs around a farm, outside, and on some heavy equipment repairs. Run as DCEN from your suitcase, and you’ll be fine. 0.035 is ample wire diameter for your stated material.
