Hey Gang,

Is it just me or am I going through too many gloves per week?
I am TIG welding and I am using 2 gloves per week.
Anyone else?

Thanks

Sure seems like it, I was getting a couple weeks out of a pair welding 8-10 hrs a day 5-6 days a week

Yeah, a pair a week is high for TIG.

I use cheap work gloves (or no gloves), and a pair will last me a month or two (unless I plasma cut and heat-shrink them to me...)

2 pair a week hell 1 pair month. Are you handling the hot steel with them? No way you should go through 2 pairs a week dude. Unless they are cloth. I love the thin deer skin ones for tig. Can feel the filler rod through them

+1 on deerskin - I buy the cheap thin ones for $10. They are soft and have excellent feel.
