I am looking for the best way to repair pot metal, can you tig weld it or should a person just look at brazing it.

Welcome.

I saw an episode of"powerblock tv" featuring a shop that repaired pot-metal parts for chroming. They used primarily TIG.

I'll try to look it up tomorrow.

Welcome to the Forum! Can you tell us what it is or do you know what kind of pot metal it is?

It was a hyd handle around 18 inches long and 1.5 in thick, just reaching for some successful ideas.

I always likes this stuff....

Worked good for some misc aluminum sheet metal I did.

Spendy.
Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.
