Is headgear interchangeable? What i have is functional but isn't as comfortable as i think it could be.

I like the hood with big port. but the back of my head doesn't agree with the band. Only markings I could find on helmet was "made in taiwan" and a paper "Forney" UPC yet stuck on band. It's at least 14 years old, just hasn't been used. Sure it came from farm supply store of some sort.

thanks

Oh wait, I see the replacement gear at amazon looks like it has better ergonomics and is only 10 bucks. I'll start there.

as you were. ;)

Take your hood with you to a welding supply store in your area to see if any aftermarket headbands or headbands from other companies will work.

I was in the Tractor Supply yesterday and noticed that they had a few styles of headgear on the shelf.

Another option if you have one close by. They keep a decent amount of welding supplies for a big box store.
