Please post pics of recent repairs/welding jobs you've done in the past, or jobs you need advice on....

I'll start it off.

Here's a repair on a tractor hitch...

The shackle on the back broke, allowing the back of the hitch to drop 12inch to the ground, with an 8,000lb baler pushing on it.
The hook-up on the front broke in half, and fell out.
I unbolted it, straightened it in the press, bolted it down the a heavy piece of steel, and welded it back together...
Than I maide a little bracket to go on the back.
Just a 1/2 in piece of strap on the back, and (2) 5/8's bolts vertical.

1/8 7018.
Everlast 160, 140amps.
Done about a year ago....

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it.

Here's another repair I did on that MM G955.
The tierod broke off at the collar nut.
I used my Weld-Pak HD (88amp flux core welder) to weld it back together.

I hate to say it, but I was running that welder off my Ranger 8....

Here's a quick job I did on a disk.
The hole on the bottom was egged out, so I just welded a piece of 1/2 plate with a 7/8 hole drilled in it....
It's fixed...
This was maybe 3 yrs ago.

Here's a job I'm doing, fixing a Case/IH round baler.

We had a 160hp tractor on this baler, baling wet hay, and the slip clutch was seized on the PTO shaft.
The mount where the gearbox bolts to, got tweaked, and tore. 1/4 inch steel.....
Sheared a 1 3/4 solid steel shaft inside the gearbox.
Ordered a new shaft, new bearings, and new crush washer.
Just pressed it together.

Here's a few pics...

AK did you just start a thread to post all your pics? :)

Im working on a home-made vee-jack this weekend using the same theory behind Jodie's shop stool video, with a couple modifications. Ill post some pics when its done. Also, I could only find 3/4" rod :( hope its sturdy enough.
Signature? Who needs a F***ing signature?

I almost had a project to post. Had my best friend call and wants another bumper built and he just bought a dump beds sheet metal repaired. I am on vacation right now though :D
I also still have the aluminum proof of concept I am working on. If I can get permission I will post some pictures. I guess I could always just post pictures of welds.
Sorry John, been wanting to help this one but a little slow on the small projects at the moment.
