Metabo 6" grinder. What model?

Postby Jetman » Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:02 am

Saw the Video of using the grinder to cut big steel beams.
Was wondering what model they were using? Looks like they have several 6" models

Are you referring to the video with JD Brewer using the grinder? If so you may be able to contact him directly concerning your question.

@ Jetman - 90% of our grinders are corded Metabos in 4-1/2" and 6". Strong as steel and smooth as ice.

Recommend the 13.5A, paddle switched, quick-change WEP 15-150. The paddled operation is ideal for safe, shorter duration work, a la with .045" Slicer wheels.

If you are planning to "grind" (hard bonded abrasives, flapper) for surface preparation/finish work, Then you should consider the model with the Slider switch. Running a Paddle switched grinder for extended durations will definitely increase your finger/foreman strength, but is less than ideal for extended durations IMPO.

Look online for pre-owned and refurbished models.
Purpose, then passion; practitionership and practicality. Patience. Obsession and hard work. That's the discipline.

Everything arclight said is true, but you could also try to search a WEP-14-150, it’s the older model. Again arclight is right the metabo super slicer the one the best cut off wheels but try out a CGW quickie, best cut and durability for the money.
