Looked like a fun build. I was reading the comments and noticed someone ask why you didn't just do the math instead of laying it out. Any insight why you would do this instead of like sitting and calculating for a minute?
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.

I can't speak for Jody, however when you lay it out full scale you have the visual element a calculation doesn't give. You can still do the math and one will prove the other, pretty important when you're about to start cutting metal and your goal is 0 scrap and wasted time, which of course = $$$
