ok Yall, I moved and have a new job, I no longer work for the city of Va bach, I now work INSIDE :) and I find that now that I tig a lot my old 2 sensor Chicago electric isn't my go to anymore as I look through the bottom and the helmet shuts off so I need one with 4 sensors now, I'm torn between the Jackson one that's $111 plus shipping (link) https://store.cyberweld.com/jaweheblinau1.html
And teh Vulcan one at Harbor Freight (link) https://www.harborfreight.com/arcsafe-a ... 63749.html

I figure since I don't know I'd ask yall, I watch Jody's videos all the time and it does nothing but make me a better welder

To state the obvious, the welding hood IS one of the most important "tools" of the trade, if $100 is what you are spending then the USAweld Striker is the best on paper, with it's optical rating, weight, and switching time. The carbon fiber finish would be my personal choice.
Let us know what you end up with.

Gentlemen, thank you, Yes the helmet, Hood, shade, whatever its called is the most important item in a welding situation, I can get insulated gloves anywhere, and my old miller jacket from the covb is still functional, I bookmarked that helmet, after paying the power bill I'll see if I can order it this payday
