Hey guys, I am posting 2 videos here today...One that I made with Roy Crumrine, and also... a very old video made by Lincoln.

Anyone remember Mr Shrink? those basics never change.

One of the hardest things for me to learn is compensating for distortion/warpage. Thanks for the vids.

Very timely videos, thanks Jody.

I am fast discovering that to be a welder is also to be a fabricator, and that welding is also a lot like painting - a great result relies on good preparation. And of course shrinkage is part of this consideration.

I fabricated a motorcycle race stand recently and didn't think much about distortion....but the pickup hooks had to wind up in position with only about 2mm tolerance, and believe me I started paying close attention to shrinkage the moment I realised my 'square' job had become anything but!

Oh, and that Lincoln Electric/Disney video...gold!
