Jody, we always used a welding glove with the tip of the middle finger cut off to insulate the power block.

Nah, not really. Gloves were free at the shipyard! That and we needed it to be fireproof.
There was always someone carbon arc gouging and throwing molten slag on your shit!
A soda bottle wouldn't last 5 minutes in that environment!
