Has any look in to build there own blade welding

I braze mine. Welded is nice when it's right, but I've carried too many back to the blade shop for reweld.
The welding itself is fairly easy, and the machines are fairly cheap, but learning to weld blades and anneal them after is nore of a black art than a science.

As far as building that welder is concerned I bet you get sick when you price out the components.

It looks very much like the one built into my DO ALL bandsaw. I believe mine to be 1939 vintage.

At one time did that too with silver solder
But looking at building a welder from a microwave transformer :mrgreen:
