I found the video you did on welding distortion using a laser pointer and target completely fascinating. That makes such a graphic example.
I was wondering if heating the weldment with a gas torch (after welding) would relieve the welding stress and restore the pointer closer to center?
If that actually works I would love to see that in a video.
Is stress relief after welding part of a welder's job? It is not a topic in the forum.
In any event, thank you for the terrific and educational videos you make. I appreciate what you do for us all.
