Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and say 'hi'.
Like most here, I joined this webpage to gain more insight into welding, as my skill level is poor and needs improving. I have some experience with structural welding but am more interested in the pipe aspect of it right now. Currently, I have been sticking welding (intensely anyway) for the past 4 weeks now in the 5G position, and the process seems to be going much slower than I had hoped. This is the first week I've been able to put in a decent root pass. So it has taken some time. Anyways, that's my intro and rant for now. I look forward to chatting it up with everyone soon. Bye.

Welcome!

As the forum name suggests, there are "tips and tricks" for that. There are videos to watch, and experienced welders who'll share.
