Hello guys, thank you all for the add. Im new to welding due to a project im working on recently. I have a 91 Ford Bronco that has a few rust spots and so i decided to tackle these rust holes and learn how to mig weld. I bought a mig welder actually last night. Its a Lincoln 140 110v. Im here to learn and get pointers and tips from you guys on welding autobody sheet metal.

Any advise is greatly appreciated

Hi there,

Welcome along. I have only welded panel stuff once. My coach on that job said that it imperative that you do not heat the panel too much. Like one little spot and stop and let it cool completely. The mistake people make is to go too quickly and end up junking the panel.

Good luck
Mike
