New welder from CLE

Someone gave me an old HF 90 amp MIG welder that sparked my interest.
I recently sold it and picked up a Hobart Handler 175 from a friend. I'll be starting MIG classes next week.
I am only a hobbyist (software engineer by trade) and own a Jeep that I take off road. Having a welder and knowing how to use it will come in handy.
