Hello to all!

I am getting back into welding after a 35-year hiatus. I took arc and oxy-acetylene in high school. I have always wanted to get a welder and get back into welding. I finally have the time and resources. I have taken a beginning course in ARC and am currently going through an oxy-acetylene course at my local community college. My end goal is to take a TIG class.

My wife bought me an Ahp Alpha TIG 200X for Christmas. I have played with the stick function one day and the TIG function one day. I must say even though I have never done it before, I REALLY enjoy TIG!.

Welcome aboard
That is one nice wife you have to buy you a welder. I'm surprised they still have oxy-acetylene classes around.

Just for curiosity sake- why the name blind squirrel?
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.

They use oxy-acetylene to get you used to the hand-eye coordination needed for TIG.

Blind Squirrel is an internet handle that I have been using since I started posting on the internet. Started with games. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again.
