Hi All,

I've been welding since the mid 90's when my dad turned me loose with his MIG. He did some car restorations and we lived out in the sticks on an old farm so we fixed or built all sorts of stuff. I did a one semester welding class in tech college that focused mostly on gas welding and SMAW as part of my automotive degree. Now I work in facilities maintenance where I do a fair bit of aluminum TIG work plus some stainless and carbon steel.

There is a lot I don't know and sites like this are my primary method of learning. Hopefully I can bring something in the give-hand and not just hold out the take-hand!
