Hey all,
I'm hobbyist type welder with a lot of interest in getting skilled enough with TIG (mild steel and stainless) so I can make safe and good looking welds.

Welcome, grinder,

You've found a good spot for help with your goal. I like that you put "safe" before "good looking". They're not necessarily the same thing. I've seen many welds that were one but not the other (and a handfull that were neither  ).

We're all about sharing knowledge and experience, and there's a broad base of it here.

Hello. Just wanted to introduce myself because I am a noo here too.. Tell me about what you fabricate or weld in general. Always interested in what other people may know that I may not. And also always willing to share what works fo me.
If you spit on it and it sizzles don't pick it up bare handed.

Welcome to the forum grinder ;)
Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it.
