I am from Arizona and weld primarily for my hobby in power sports. I mainly use MIG but purchased a TIG machine recently and have been practicing on small projects before I do any structural frame welding. My first welding experience was in 1980 in my friends dads shop in Wyoming. I spent a majority of my high school years in either the wood shop or welding shop. Since then I have always had a welder and welding has been my main hobby in one form or another.

Be careful...

Welding was my hobby until I realized that every time I needed money I found myself welding for it.
Now, my career is built around it. I don't weld all the time; Frankly I weld too seldom for my comfort since I have to do it to ASME standards, but welding got me here, and pays me well.
