After reading a bunch of posts, Many ask what
do I set my machine at?

Answer: There is no correct amperage for a rod.
Only from experience will you know if the amperage is
correct. The rod can will state a recommended starting amperage. From there you adjust your
machine. Always use a scrap piece of similar material
to set up your machine. Every machine is different.
Everybody has there own welding technique. Yours
may be different. ie Travel speed, rod maipulation
etc. If you have to ask this question then I would
say play with it. Observe. Make corrections.
Once you stop asking this question then you will have
become a more confident welder.
