CWB certification study materials

Recently I came to know that there are lot of openings in welding industry. It would be added as an advantage if we have some certification in it. Many number of institutes like Weldtech Training Inc. are providing this facility. I am looking for CWB welding certification in Canada. I have around 6 months experience working in welding industry. So is it possible to pass the exam without doing a course. Where can I find the study materials and syllabus? Somebody who certified in this please share this information. It would be really helpful.

.? A weld test isn't taken with a #2 pencil? Study = Practice. Am I missing something?
