I just picked up an Eastwood L6700 Large View True Colour Technology AD welding hood. Only had time for a few welds but really liked it. No green tint just a light blue colour and a much clearer view of the weld than my standard fairly decent green tint auto dark. It has all the adjustments, shade 5-13 (2 steps) sensitivity, delay and grind. All controls inside hood which I prefer. Cheater lens compatible. Light weight nylon shell - 1.09lb. 4 sensors and 1/1/1/2 clarity. Viewing area 3.9 X 2.64in. I see top brand clear view style helmets up to $100s of dollars, way above my pay scale for a hobby. Priced US $69.99 +free delivery I think. Paid CDN $98.00 incl. exchange and GST ( Gouge and Screw Tax) delivered to my door. Durability unknown but feels pretty decent. Has anyone used this helmet or the larger version, I would appreciate your thoughts. Anyone curious check - Eastwood welding helmets. 8-)
