I am interested in buying the new Amico 2019 model stick welder for running 6010 root passes on pipe.

This is their new improved 2019 Model with improved 6010 functionality for $200.
No, I don't want to just run 6011 instead.

Anyone tried it ...?

i have never heard of that brand.
however seen pleanty of similar spec machines here.

what concerns me is that they say it runs 6010 but there is no 6010 mode.
i've seen other welders that do the same that they say they use arc force to be able to run 6010.
problem is afaik 6010 requires higher run voltage and arc force changes amps.
they could have increased the run voltage to be close enough to 'run' 6010, but that usually means everything else runs a bit to hot.
so i think they have either done a dirty trick to get it to run or it runs but doesn't weld all that good and they blame it on whatever brand rods your using.

when all of the good brands have separate 6010 modes, i think thats what you should be looking for on a machine.
tweak it until it breaks
