I don't know how many of you folks get into automation systems but over the years I have built robot cells from everything to Fanuc material handling, ABB's with press projection welding end of arm systems, etc. I just did a little MIG cell for a company using Panasonics TAWERS all in one MIG welding system. I chose Allen Bradley MicroLOGIX as the controller platform, integration was a snap and the teach pendant was very user friendly, very easy to teach.
I am in know way affiliated with Panasonic, but if you ever have the need for MIG automation, definitely check out the TAWERS system....pretty much plug and play and extremely reasonable in price.
