Only time I see 6010 used is for open root. I am fabing a forklift attachment for a front end loader. Will have 3/8 plate for the attachment areas. Since this is the critical and heavily welded part, I was thinking about putting 6010 on a root pass, as it has deeper penetration, but never see it used on non-open root beveled parts.

Try running the 6010 for your root, and spend a little bit of money and get some 7018 X 1/8" for fillers and cover.

AWS Classification:
60 = 60,000 LBS. guaranteed minimum tensile strength of filler metal
70 = 70,000 LBS. guaranteed minimum tensile strength of filler metal

1 (just after the 60 or 70) = position; 1 = all position.

8 = (as in 7018) is the odds of you winning the lottery; 8 is less than 552,166,802 to 1; for you.

Take some pics of the project and post them up!

Here are pics of the first one I built. Already had a 3 point forklift attachment and adapted for the Mahindra. Used 7018.

Since I used it so much, I'm bldg another to sell. Fabing the forks myself this time.

The forklift attachment can lift the tractor and beyond max capacity of the hydronic pump.
