Has anyone had any luck welding Lincoln Excalibur on AC? I know the can states that they can weld AC or DC but, I can't get them to run on AC at all. They keep sticking.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

We got a package of each of Lincoln 7018s to try and my teacher told me to try them. We have only AC sick welders and they did not run. I didn't expect them to because I read they were only DC electrodes. They do make AC 7018s but excaliburs won't run on AC. Just like 6010 won't even start practically
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.
