I ran across these while looking through Ebay. For home hobby type work, I'm wondering how they stack up considering how inexpensive they are. 55lbs of 1/8" 7018 comes out to only $1.41/lb. Seems they are based out of Florida, any Florida guys tried these out?

I'm guessing that they will be very low end. 7018 are not general purpose and also marketed for low alloy steel not mild steel. So their ad is a little off already.

Yea I don't expect them to be Lincoln Excalibur's, but compared to some stuff I've gotten from the LWS ("Best Welds", "Anchor", etc) I don't see how it can be any worse. I guess it all depends on what expectations one has. If you have low-standards, everything seems superb!

more like billions! lol

I might order a small batch just to see how they run. It's funny how you can order India/China stick electrodes shipped to your door cheaper than driving to the LWS, for probably the same electrodes made in the same places in India/China, lol.
