LOL Smart ass huh? I got some 6013 rod 3/32 and some 7018 1/8 to try out me welder. Have to fix up some of the cables trim them back and put the ground and electrode holder on again. There are some bare spot where the cables have been sliced. easy fixed though till I can afford new cables for it. I will report how it works.

Hope that's a DC welder.

1/8 7018 skills will make you some good money.

6013 skllls might buy you some beer.

Go for it!

Anyone ever try E7016 rod? Our Lincoln Rep keeps going on about what a wonderful training rod this is for E7018. He said he will bring some over, but has not so far.
It is supposed to be real easy to strike and run, but with all the characteristics of 7018.

I haven't used many types of rods before. I have used the ones I mentioned. We shall see. Just wanted a few to test the welder and do a couple things on my trailer. In for a penny in for a pound as they say.

Hi there,

I have used 7016 rods at trade school. Not bad. The slag flows and looks like molten brown glass.
